TIE Blog 2

After talking with my CT about the students using doodle tool, she thought it would possibly be easier for the students to record their answers using a microphone.  So, that was the plan, however when we were in the classroom and the students tried recording, it didn't work, even though I had tested the mics before the lesson.  Their voices did not come up on the voicethread.  We tried later in the week and the next week and it did not work (there might have been something wrong with the computers.)  I was unable to try and use the computer lab computers because there was testing going on in there when I was at Webb.
What worked WELL, was the PowerPoint part of the VoiceThread.  I went through the slides like I would a PowerPoint.  However, what I might do differently next time is use PowerPoint instead of VoiceThread for the beginning part, because it would have helped me to be able to move pictures around and put them in the correct order.  And if I had to teach this lesson over, I might have let the students use the doodle instead of the microphones.  Then we could of at least seen their work.

My VoiceThread

Your Challenge:

"How would you enhance this voicethread interactive activity through vertical or horizontal spiraling currciulum?"

"In what other ways would you use VoiceThread in the classroom?"
